Sawn in our Devon sawmill, our Devon oak beams can be used in restoration projects, conversions, garden designs and building projects. We only ever use UK sourced trees from managed and certified woodlands. We can supply in various grades, and are renowned for our quality and durability of our structural timber.
We can supply A grade Devon Oak beams which has no wane and fewer knots. We can also supply B grade Oak beams which can sometimes have a little wane, and a few larger knots. These grade of Oak beams are perfect for porches, lintels and exterior projects. We can also supply our beams in chestnut- always email our Devon sawmill for a quote for this.
We’re able to expertly saw our green Oak into lengths and widths, providing you with green Oak beams sourced in Devon for any requirement.
Our Devon Oak beams can be sawn in lengths up to 6.0m (sometimes longer) as long as we have the right trees in stock.
For most of our devon oak beams we allow for a 5-10 day lead time. We do stock an amount of air dried Devon Oak beams, so again contact us if you would like a price.

Air dried or green?
This depends on your project specifications. If you are fitting it internally, the air dried will be favourable.
Do the beams need sanding?
It depends what you’re using it for, but our saw cuts a very smooth finish, so usually not.
What is A grade quality?
A grade is our top quality with no wane and small knots.
What is B grade quality?
B grade is up to 2.5% wane and larger knots with occasional sapwood.
