This November, we were thrilled to exhibit at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the Bath & West Showground. The event brought together self-builders, renovators, and home enthusiasts eager to discover innovative materials for their projects—and it provided the ideal stage for us to spotlight our Thermally Modified Timber.
Our stand showcased the exceptional qualities of Thermally Modified Ash, a versatile, durable, and eco-conscious material that’s perfect for modern self-builds and renovations. Visitors were fascinated by its resilience, stability, and rich aesthetic, making it an ideal choice for exterior projects. It was inspiring to see so many attendees keen to learn more about how Thermally Modified Timber could transform their homes, with many gathering information to take their projects to the next level.
A major highlight of the weekend was Tom Bedford’s talk on Sunday, November 17th, titled “The Importance of Utilising British Timber.” Tom spoke passionately about the benefits of using homegrown, sustainably sourced wood. He discussed the Thermally Modified Timber and explained how the thermal modification process enhances the wood’s durability and performance while maintaining its natural beauty, making it a game-changer for contemporary builds.
Attendees left the talk excited by the possibilities of Thermally Modified Timber, especially its ability to balance sustainability with practicality. Many were impressed by how this innovative material could offer a high-performance solution for cladding, decking, and bespoke outdoor dining areas—all while celebrating the character and authenticity of British wood.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who visited our stand, joined Tom’s talk, and shared their enthusiasm for Thermally Modified Timber.
If you missed the show but want to explore how Thermally Modified Timber can elevate your project, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something extraordinary together!
